Mark Wellings

Chairman of the Board, Independent Director

Mark Wellings is a mining professional with over 25 years international experience in both the mining industry and mining finance sector. He served for 18 years at GMP Securities L.P., including as Managing Director/Managing Director of Investment Banking. Mark has worked on some of the Canadian mining industry's largest transactions, both in equity financing and M&A. He has also worked in the mining industry directly with a variety of companies including Derry, Michener, Booth & Wahl Ltd., Arimco N.L., Inco Ltd. and Watts Griffis McOuat Limited, acquiring valuable hands-on experience in exploration, development and production. Mark was one of the founding directors of Adventus and became Chairman of the Board in January 2021.

Brian Dalton

Director

An entrepreneur in the mining industry, Brian built a successful group of private mineral exploration and exploration service companies prior to co-founding Altius in 1997. In his 20 years at Altius, he helped grow the company to an asset base in excess of $500 million through diligent implementation of the prospect generator/joint venture business model and royalty acquisition/creation. Brian is an active member of various industry organizations and volunteer boards and has been honoured with numerous awards for his entrepreneurial leadership.

Roberto Salas

Roberto Salas is the Vice Chairman and CEO of Consorcio Nobis of Ecuador (Nobis Group), leading one of Ecuador largest and most respected private organizations, with business interests across the agricultural, real estate, industrial, commercial, construction and tourism sectors. Roberto is an Ecuadorian-born economist, and former CEO and board member of several multinational corporations in Chile and Brazil. In addition to his leadership at Nobis, he is an editorial provider to Ecuador's El Comercio and AméricaEconomia.com, and a professor of management at the Catholic University of Guayaquil-Ecuador. Roberto has an MBA from Esade-Adolfo Ibáñez Business School, and he studied management programs at Wharton and Kellogg Business Schools.

Michael Haworth

Michael Haworth co-founded Greenstone Resources LP in 2013 after a 16 year career in the mining sector including Managing Director at JP Morgan and Head of Mining and Metals Corporate Finance in London. With Mark Sawyer, Michael oversees all aspects of the management of Greenstone Resources. Michael also serves as a director of Greenstone Management Ltd, the fund’s General Partner. Michael is a member, and co-chairman, of the Investment Committee.

Sally Eyre

Dr. Sally Eyre is a mining finance professional with extensive experience in global resource capital markets and mining operations. Dr. Eyre currently holds non-executive directorships at Ero Copper, Centamin, and Equinox Gold. During 2011 to 2014 she served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Copper North Mining and prior to Copper North Mining served as Senior Vice President, Operations at Endeavour Mining, responsible for a portfolio of resource exploration, development and production projects throughout West Africa. Dr. Eyre served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Etruscan Resources (now Endeavour Mining), a gold company with producing assets in West Africa. She served as Director of Business Development for Endeavour Financial and has held executive positions with a number of Canadian resource companies. Dr. Eyre has a Ph.D. in Economic Geology from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London. Dr. Eyre is a member of the Society of Economic Geologists, a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and a former Director of the Society of Economic Geologists Canada Foundation.

Barry Murphy

Barry Murphy is a mining professional with over 30 years of experience on copper, gold, and platinum projects on three continents. He has held senior executive positions with Anglo American and Yamana Gold where he led both technical and project development teams. His most recent experience includes the development of open-pit and underground mines in Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. Prior to these projects, Barry held management positions at engineering and construction services firms Hatch and Murray & Roberts Cementation Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa. Barry is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and a Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute.

Paul B. Sweeney

Paul B. Sweeney is an independent business and financial consultant with more than 35 years of experience in financial management of mining and renewable energy companies. Mr. Sweeney serves on the board of directors for OceanaGold Corporation and previously served on the board of directors for Tahoe Resources Inc. before its sale to Pan American Silver Corp. Previously, he was a Chief Financial Officer for both Canico Resource Corp. (acquired by Vale) and Sutton Resources (acquired by Barrick Gold) and was a senior executive for Plutonic Power.

Christian Kargl-Simard

Christian Kargl-Simard is a professional engineer with over 15 years of experience in the mining industry, having worked both in technical and finance roles. Prior to starting Adventus, he worked for 10 years in investment banking roles at Raymond James Ltd. and Haywood Securities Inc. During his tenure in investment banking, Christian was involved in financings raising more than $7 billion, and he assisted in completing over 35 M&A transactions with companies such as Fortuna Silver Mines Inc., Altius Minerals Corporation, Arizona Mining Inc., Trevali Mining Corporation, Victoria Gold Corp., Atlantic Gold Corporation and Tahoe Resources Inc. Christian also worked for Dynatec Corporation in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta up to its sale to Sherritt International Corp. in 2007, both in metallurgical engineering and corporate development roles. Christian is an author or co-author of three published technical papers in the field of hydrometallurgy. Christian is a professional engineer (Canada) and has a B.A.Sc. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
